How to Register
Debit Card Activation
Forgot Username/Password
- Download the Sohar International App from the App Store or Google Play Store
- Select ‘Already having an Account’ on the homepage
- If you already have an HSBC mobile/internet banking username, you can simply continue using it and create a new password using “Forgot Password Option on the login page”; if you don’t, then proceed to the following steps
- Select "Register" on the login page
- Enter your Omani or resident Civil ID number
- Enter your debit card details, including the card number, expiry date, and CVV number
- Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to you via SMS
- Create a new username and password after OTP verification
- Once your credentials have been successfully created, you can log in to the app
- Log into the Sohar International App
- Select "Cards" in the menu tab
- Choose the card you wish to activate
- Click on the "Activate" button
- Follow the prompts to set a PIN for your card
- Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS to complete the process
- Once the PIN is set successfully, your card will be activated & ready for use
- Insert the new debit card into Sohar International ATM
- Enter your mobile number as registered in your bank
- If the mobile number matches the bank's registered number, an OTP will be generated
- Enter the OTP in the ATM machine
- Once the OTP is validated, you will be asked to set the PIN in the ATM machine
- Once the PIN is set successfully, the card will be activated and ready to be used
- Log into the Sohar International App
- Select "Cards" in the menu tab
- Choose the card you wish to activate
- Click on ‘Activate’
- Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS to complete the process and activate your card.
Please note that registration for the app and activating you card will be available only on or post 19 August 2023.
